ProGroup Management was engaged to construct temporary School facilities to house students and staff through the School re-building program. This consisted of 14 classrooms, Student toilets, Staff study and breakout area, Library and Administration Building. The project commenced in November 2018 and completed with handover on time and within budget for the start of the new year in 2019.
The project brief called for 6 existing classrooms to be relocated from within school grounds elsewhere to make way for the new Building program whilst the remainder of the buildings were transported in and installed and commissioned. The new area was fitted with Security systems including CCTV coverage and full fire detection and protection. One of the challenges in the project was to relocate and rebuild the entire Data and fibre backbone network for the school from the existing Administration building. Because of the location of the school, access for Cranes and trucks for the delivery was via Kent Road which created access issues via the very busy street in a heavily populated area.
